Activities Undertaken

BET is deeply involved in making social impact & changing lives of the people. Some of the projects undertaken by BET apart from regular education includes:
1

Skill Training

BET & its institutions have implemented various funded & non-funded skill development programs in the state of Rajasthan. The trust is registered with Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Ministry of Rural Development (MORD) and AICTE for providing various skill based programs which includes training them & providing career-building placement opportunities. Currently, we have 1000+ students enrolled under multiple schemes for the same. Recently, BET has been received Skill Development project that is sponsored by govt. of India by the name of DDU-GKY in the state of Rajasthan and Jharkhand. In Rajasthan (Bikaner) our target is to train 380 students and in Jharkhand (Bokaro) our target is to train 500 students.

Rural Technology Business Incubation

We, as a trust, want to develop products which can ease life of the rural people. We have developed & commercialized an Alovera peeling machine at a very minimum cost. Regularly, we conduct training sessions for the farmers on such new technologies. We have been recently sanctioned a Rural Technology Business Incubator by DST, Govt. of Rajasthan. Our focus is on helping people with innovative idea & funding startups working in Agri & Rural Technologies. We have started incubating the startups also.

Gramothan (Village Development)

Under this programme, the donor’s (individual or corporate) money is utilized by the trust & its associate institutions by adopting a village & setting up any kind of basic amenities needed for the day-to-day activities of the villagers. We also run free educational camps where our faculty & students take classes on the basic subjects like computer education. Basic amenities like clothes, stationery, solar charged bulbs etc are even distributed to the needy students. We are also preparing a draft plan which includes renovation of facilities & digitalisation of needy villages.

Tree Plantation

Today greenery is a major concern across the globe. With industrialization & township spreading all over, the re-plantation of trees has become a compulsory activity to protect the environment. The trust with its associate institutions has taken a mission to make Rajasthan greener. In purview of the same initiative, we plant around 5000 saplings every year all across the state. The survival ratio of saplings is around 60% beyond 5 years.

Water & Soil Conservation

We all know that clean and healthy environment is very much necessary for our life. The trust is focused on one of the major issue affecting our environment i.e. conservation of water and soil. Trust with the help of team of specialist is dedicated to look after environment in total. Counselling the youths on importance of water and soil conservation, to complete implementation of projects on water and soil conservation trust has always tried to share its bit for the nature. Trust has a specialist team working on this domain.

Entrepreneurship Education

Our Motto is to make the students entrepreneurs. We are the impaneled Institution of PM Yuva Yojana under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. It’s an online course providing the knowledge of Opportunity Evaluation, Business Model, Business Plan, Finance, Marketing, and Project to those who want to start their own venture. Every year, we organize Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps and spread awareness to approx. 500 + students.

Health Camp

The objective of conducting the health camp was to create awareness of general health among the people, provide general health care services and counseling them on basic healthcare and hygiene. Trust is focused for the same objective of conducting health camps. Trust with its team conducts regular health camps with the help of its team and  doctors who are always ready to help needy people and make them aware about basic healthcare and hygiene. These camps are conducted free of cost.

Energy Efficiency

Ensuring Energy Efficiency (EE) is a low hanging fruit in India’s efforts to fulfil its commitment of reducing emissions and achieving the aim of making the path of economic growth and development more inclusive and sustainable. Considering that the adoption of energy efficient measures requires greater support from the end-users, it is important for them to have a clear understanding of the subject as well as of the benefits emanating from use of energy efficient appliances. Thus, as a consumer organisation, VBSC along with its strategic partners, would like to enhance consumer awareness and build their trust in new and affordable technologies.

Scholarship Scheme

BET with the help of corporate and its own fund provides financial assistance to needy & meritorious students. Focus remains on educating rural girl child & to ensure that she completes her education without any financial hazel. In the present time, there are 75 odd girls who are being provided free education under this scheme.

Blood Donation Camp

The trust & its institution in partnership with various NGO’s such as Rotary Club, Lion’s Club and social bodies like NCC, NSS & local hospitals do conduct multiple blood donation camps every year. Around 2000 units of blood is collected annually in this endeavor. This year HDFC Bank, SMS Hospital, EHCC, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Swastha Kalyan joined hands for this noble cause
