Career in astrophysics can lead in three areas scientific, technological and operational. Scientific positions will often be available in governmental or transnational space agencies- including astrophysical and cosmological data analysis, mission conception, mission control, astronautical programmes and advanced concept development. On the technology side of things may often be in the complete lifecycle of a mission, from feasibility studies, design, manufacture and launch. In operations side the companies exist purely to operate satellites, lease bandwidth and sell data to other companies.
