Bachelor of Pharmacy (abbreviated as B. Pharm or B. Pharma) is an undergraduate four years (8 Semester) course which is a pre-requisite for registration to practice as a pharmacist. It imparts skills to work in industry, clinical set ups, drug control organizations, hospitals, education and research sectors. Pursuing B. Pharm can be a good beginning to understand the fundamentals of pharmacy programme and then pursue advanced courses like M. Pharma and Pharm. D.
It is a four-year course and is mainly divided into 8 semesters, depending upon the coursework and practical sessions. B.Pharma imparts useful knowledge about biochemical science and healthcare business. Students during their coursework have to perform various practicals and experiment.

First year B. Pharm:
Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually.
Age: Student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.
B. Pharm lateral entry (to third semester):
A pass in D. Pharm. course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
