The Department of Design deals with exchanging ideas, methods and professional experience in design. Its approach combines curiosity, experimentation and enthusiasm in the pursuit of learning. The discipline is considered by many to be a foundation to become a designer which make this dream a reality. The study of design courses includes design solution, creating a work of art and facilitating the production of a creative team and inculcation of undeniable value. The department has organized various conferences, workshops, seminars, expert lectures, and webinars concerning future of design in the past. The Department of Design prepares our students to become Design experts who are equipped to address the design problems and solutions and application in real world. We offer four-year degree programs, two years masters programs and doctoral program which are designed to address a variety of student goals and industry demands.
The mission of the Department of Design is to create designers who are the problem solvers and solution finders and who can meet the future design challenges in the field of design. This includes developing fashion and textile designers, Interior and Product Designers, Graphic Designer, UX Designers and Sustainable designers and auditors for positions of leadership in industry, government, and academia.
Developing critical awareness through hands-on research and discussion is essential to professional maturation and individual growth and this is the prime purpose of department of design. There is a need for such design curriculum that provides options, allowing different individuals to select which level of problem they wish to address.
As leaders in research, Design faculty members work with students of all levels, our recognized faculty conduct groundbreaking research in soft and hard materials, prototyping, garment making, software proficiency, social connect and networking, sustainable systems, graphical and digital image processing, smart vision, personal development, and the design.
