research facility business lab

Event and Traditions

In line with its mission to integrate industry with academics, to prepare students for the real world and to enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills, VGU has always focused on creating an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation. The business labs at VGU allow students and faculty to research and explore their business ideas and supports them by offering a conducive environment and facilities needed. The two business labs are part of the Rural Technology Business Incubator (RTBI) (spread across ~5,000 sq.ft. area) and Atal Community Innovation Centre – VGU Foundation (ACIC-VGU) (spread across ~10,000 sq.ft. area). RTBI was established in 2018 and funded by Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of Rajasthan. ACIC – VGU Foundation is the first ACIC centre in India, established in 2021 under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog.

The business labs of these incubation centres house facilities like co-working spaces, meeting rooms, recording studio and labs related to prototyping and agriculture to support and promote incubation of business based on new innovative ideas.

The RTBI lab is currently supporting more than 25 start-ups and the ACIC-VGU lab is supporting more than 10 start-ups.
