At VGU, we take pride in fostering an inclusive and accessible campus that enables students, faculty, and staff to fully engage with our resources and facilities. Our campus has been meticulously designed to support individuals with disabilities, ensuring seamless navigation and utilization of all spaces.
In adherence to UGC guidelines, VGU offers essential accessibility features, including ramps, handrails, and accessible washrooms on every floor, catering to diverse needs. All three main blocks - the Academic Block, Technology Block, and Administrative Block - feature wide corridors and doorways to ensure easy wheelchair access. Additionally, each block is equipped with wheelchairs to support individuals with physical disabilities, creating an environment that is both supportive and equitable.
Going beyond compliance, VGU continuously enhances the campus experience by demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusivity and diversity. High-contrast, large-font signage has been installed across all blocks, departments, and teaching spaces to assist individuals with visual impairments.
As part of our technological and learning support initiatives, VGU has embraced a range of assistive technologies to empower students and staff. These include:
Braille Translation Software.
Text-to-Speech (TTS) Software.
Voice Command Software.
Screen Reader Facility on our website.
These measures underscore VGU’s dedication to creating a truly inclusive and supportive community for all. At VGU, accessibility is not just a requirement - it’s a core value.
