Electrical Engineering Labs

Microprocessor and Interfacing Lab

This laboratory is used to provide intensive practical exposure to learn the assembly and embedded C programming systematically for the different issues of microprocessor and microcontroller. The course will help to analyse, implement and understand the interfacing circuits for various applications of Microprocessor-based system.

Power Electronics Lab

Power electronics lab typically houses various equipment and instruments necessary for the design, analysis, testing, and implementation of power electronic circuits and systems to develop advanced power conversion technologies for applications in electric vehicles and industrial automation.

Electronics Devices and Circuits Lab

This laboratory has been setup to conduct, designed and developed the characteristics of various electronic devices. This lab is well equipment like Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes (CRO), Digital Oscilloscopes, Regulated DC power supplies (RPS), Function Generators and Digital and Analog meters of a wide range.

Electrical Measurement and Instrumentation Lab

This lab is an array of equipment and setups aimed at understanding, testing, and utilizing various measurement techniques and instruments to electrical engineering. These devices display and analyze the waveform of electrical signals.

Control System Lab

Control System lab equipped with hardware setups representing different control system configurations, such as open-loop, closed-loop, and feedback control systems. Lab consist Simulation software like MATLAB/Simulink for designing, simulating, and analyzing control systems. These tools enable students to model dynamic systems, design controllers, and simulate closed-loop responses.

Electric Drives and Their Control Lab

In this lab experimental setups representing different types of electric drive systems, including DC drives, AC drives (induction and synchronous), and specialized drives like stepper and servo drives. These motors are used as the prime movers in the electric drive systems.

High Voltage Engineering Lab

High Voltage Engineering Lab provides students with hands-on experience in working with high voltage equipment, understanding the behavior of high voltage systems, and developing skills in high voltage testing, measurement, and safety. It prepares students for careers in industries such as power generation, transmission, distribution, electric utilities.

Project Lab

Project lab provides the opportunity to work on hands-on projects that integrate and apply the knowledge and skills gained from their coursework. Lab is equipped with tools, equipment, and materials necessary for project development. These may include soldering stations, breadboards, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and various electronic components, computers with software tools for design, simulation, programming, and documentation.

Smart Grid Lab

Smart Grid Lab provides designing, analyzing, and implementing smart grid solutions, preparing them for careers in power systems engineering, renewable energy, grid modernization, and related fields. It fosters innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking in addressing the challenges and opportunities of the evolving energy landscape.
