Quality Policy

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at VGU, Jaipur is fully operational, dedicated to maintaining the good work being undertaken by the university and continuously enhancing the quality index. The institution's performance is consistently improving as a result of the catalytic role that IQAC is playing in the process of internalizing quality. Through self-reviewed progress reports, the IQAC is submitting Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC. Besides fostering internal awareness of quality-related issues, the IQAC is also enhancing the university's credibility in external quality assessments. The University upholds a mission statement and set of goals that respect the stakeholders' autonomy, identity, and integrity.

  • The University has a policy and corresponding procedures for the assurance of the quality and standards of their programs and awards.
  • The University makes a clear commitment to the creation of a culture that values excellence and quality control in the work. To do this, the University creates and puts into action a strategy for quality improvement that is ongoing. The strategy, policy, and procedures are formally recognized and open to the public. Students and other stakeholders have a part to play in the procedures.
  • Program Approval, Monitoring, and Periodic Review: The University has formal procedures in place for program approval, review intervals, and monitoring.
  • Student Evaluation: Consistently applied published criteria, rules, and procedures are used to evaluate students.
  • The University ensures that its teaching staff members are qualified and capable of doing their jobs. They are accessible to those conducting outside reviews and are discussed in reports.
  • Support for Students Learning and Learning Resources: The University makes sure that the resources offered are sufficient and appropriate for each program it offers.
  • The University would guarantee the training and development of academic and non-academic staff on "quality" as well as other functional competencies that are essential to ongoing improvement and the creation of a "culture of quality."
  • Systems of Information: The University makes sure that it gathers, analyzes, and employs pertinent information for the efficient management of its academic programs and other activities.
  • Information for the Public: The University regularly publishes current, unbiased, and objective information, both quantitatively and qualitatively, about the policies, procedures, programs, and awards they are providing.
  • The IQAC conducts its evaluations concerning both external reference points and the institution's self-evaluation. The University makes decisions in an impartial, rigorous, careful, fair, and consistent manner. Even though different groups, panels, teams, or committees may have made different judgments, the University always acts consistently.
  • Regarding the internal and external evaluations, the University has detailed documentation.
  • The documentation for the self-evaluation process includes the goals, steps, and expected outcomes for the evaluation's content. Between recommendations and requirements, the documentation makes a clear distinction.
  • The documentation for external evaluation outlines the topics covered, including the benchmarks used, the judgment criteria, the evaluation techniques, the reporting structure, etc. The accreditation framework and standards, as well as the clearly stated criteria for accreditation, are made public, if the external evaluation results in accreditation.
  • To organize and manage the external evaluation process as per the mission statement, the University will need sufficient and accessible resources, both human and financial.
  • External quality assurance is an essential function of the University, and fulfilling the mission or goals is achieved systematically.
  • Periodic Reviews: External quality assurance of the University and/or programs would be undertaken on a cyclical basis. The length of the cycle and the review procedures to be used would be clearly defined and published in advance.
  • Follow-Up Procedures: Quality assurance processes that contain recommendations for action or that require a subsequent action plan, will have a predetermined follow-up procedure, which is implemented consistently.
