Bio

Dr. Kajal Thakuriya is a practicing interior designer, an an academician with 25 years of experience in the field. Throughout her career, she has worked at various prestigious institutes as an academician.

Currently serving as the Head of Department (HOD) in the design department, at Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur. Her approach to work is multidisciplinary. She is actively involved in industry connections for academic endeavors and employ practical-based teaching pedagogy, leveraging strong industry background. She is an active associate and affiliated member of several professional bodies and organizations such as IIID, IPA, ADI, RFI, Ishre etc.

Other than this she is the external BOS member in the Design Department at Mandsaur University, M.P.

She has also been elected as national co convener for the Indian plumbing association (Vanita).

Her philosophy revolves around the belief in learning by doing and conducting research-oriented projects. She also serves as a technical expert for SFURTI projects under the MSME scheme. Additionally, she is serving as a Ph.D. guide at the university and throughout her academic journey, numerous individual and group research papers, as well as patents, have been completed
