About the Trust

Bagaria Education Trust (BET)

Not-for-Profit Charitable Organisation · Registered under Devasthan Vibhag, Rajasthan · NITI Aayog Registered NGO

"Education is the cornerstone of rural transformation. From teaching daughters-in-law in villages to building a world-class university — our journey has always been driven by one belief: that quality education must reach every corner of this nation."

Bagaria Education Trust was constituted by a group of professionals from Rajasthan who recognised the need for focused efforts to promote education in rural areas, particularly among rural women. Driven by a vision of making quality education accessible to underserved communities, the promoters embarked on their educational journey in 1992 with the establishment of Gramothan Vidyapeeth, a school in Nagaur, marking the Trust's first initiative towards the educational empowerment of rural communities. Building on this foundation, the promoters ventured into technical education with the establishment of the Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Management & Gramothan (SKIT) in Jaipur in 2000. In 2003, they further strengthened their commitment to technical education by establishing Marudhar Engineering College (MEC) in Bikaner, recognised as the first self-financed engineering college in the region.
