"Not Just Degrees, We Build Responsibility — SOC, VGU.” The Social Outreach Cell (SOC) at VGU fosters social responsibility through NCC, NSS, Ranger & Rover, RRC, and NGO initiatives, engaging students in community service, awareness drives, and impactful nation-building programs. It empowers students with leadership, empathy, and civic values while creating meaningful social impact.

VGU’s Social Outreach Cell, through NCC, NSS, Ranger & Rover, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, and Red Ribbon Club, has impacted thousands through 1.5 lakh+ trees planted, 13,000+ blood units collected, 5,000+ rural youth trained, along with awareness drives, rural camps, YEP and RDC achievements, and leadership programs. These initiatives nurture socially responsible graduates, inspire community transformation, support adopted villages, and strengthen VGU’s vision of creating future leaders committed to service, sustainability, and nation-building.

National Cadet Corps — VGU NCC

Established in 2013, VGU's NCC unit is attached to the Army Wing (1 Raj Armd Sqn NCC, Jaipur) and Air Wing (1 Raj Air Sqn NCC, Jaipur) — producing disciplined, patriotic graduates with B & C certificates recognised across India.

The NCC Unit of Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur is affiliated with 1 Raj Armoured Squadron NCC, Jaipur, with an intake of 50 cadets dedicated to developing disciplined and responsible youth. Cadets undergo training in foot drill, weapon handling, map reading, obstacle courses, and first aid, building leadership, teamwork, and physical fitness. They actively participate in prestigious platforms such as CATC, Republic Day Camp (New Delhi), Adventure & Leadership Courses, and the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), gaining national and international exposure.

Air Wing — 1 Raj Air Sqn NCC

Air Wing

The NCC Air Wing at Vivekananda Global University (VGU), Jaipur is affiliated with 1 Raj Air Squadron NCC, Jaipur under the National Cadet Corps. Established in 2017, the unit has an authorized strength of 50 cadets, committed to developing disciplined and dynamic leaders. Cadets receive hands-on training in aeromodelling, skeet firing, basics of aviation, and flight simulation, fostering technical skills, precision, and confidence. They actively participate in prestigious platforms such as the All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC), along with various national-level camps and training programs, gaining valuable exposure and experience in the Air Wing domain.

Republic Day Camp - New Delhi

VGU cadet represented Rajasthan at the 74th Republic Day Camp — met the President, Prime Minister, Defence Minister and Home Minister of India.

MoD–DG NCC Trained ANO

The NCC unit at Vivekananda Global University (VGU) is guided by a highly trained Associate NCC Officer (ANO) who is certified under the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Directorate General of NCC, Government of India. With professional training and leadership skills, the ANO plays a vital role in mentoring cadets, fostering discipline, leadership, and a spirit of national service among students.

National Service Scheme VGU NSS

Established in 2020, VGU’s 6 government-funded NSS units with 600 volunteers and 6 adopted villages drive community service, rural development, leadership, and social impact through meaningful outreach initiatives.

Community Service Through NSS

VGU’s NSS promotes social impact through health camps, blood donation, literacy drives, environmental initiatives, women empowerment, and village development programs. With 6 funded units, 600 volunteers, and 6 adopted villages, students actively serve communities. Achievements in RDC, NYF, NIC,Adventure Camps and national awards reflect VGU’s commitment to leadership, service, and nation-building through meaningful outreach.

Health & Sanitation Awareness – Hygiene campaigns, disease prevention workshops, etc.

Literacy & Skill Development – Adult education programs, digital literacy training.

Environmental Conservation – Tree plantation, plastic reduction drives, water conservation

President’s Honour for VGU NSS Volunteer

An NSS volunteer from Vivekananda Global University (VGU) received a prestigious honour from the Government of India in the presence of the President of India for outstanding social service. Notably, the volunteer was the only representative from Rajasthan to receive this recognition, bringing pride to VGU and its commitment to community service through NSS.

NSS volunteers from Vivekananda Global University (VGU) are selected to represent the National Service Scheme at the prestigious Republic Day Parade Camp in New Delhi. They proudly march at Kartavya Path and have the honour of meeting the President, Prime Minister, and Vice President of India, showcasing VGU’s active participation and excellence at the national level.
