VGU's NCC, NSS and Bharat Scouts & Guides programs go beyond extracurriculars — they build disciplined, compassionate and decisive leaders. From Republic Day parades in Delhi to blood donation camps in Jaipur, VGU students serve the nation with pride.
Established in 2013, VGU's NCC unit is attached to the Army Wing (1 Raj Armd Sqn NCC, Jaipur) and Air Wing (1 Raj Air Sqn NCC, Jaipur) — producing disciplined, patriotic graduates with B & C certificates recognised across India.
35 parades per academic year — foot drill, weapon training, map reading, obstacle courses and first aid. Army Wing cadets participate in Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC), Republic Day Camp in New Delhi, Adventure Leadership Courses and the prestigious Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) for international exposure.
VGU campus is also home to a MiG-21 fighter aircraft — a War Trophy allotted by the Indian Air Force. Air Wing cadets receive aerospace awareness training, aviation theory and inter-wing competition exposure. A unique opportunity for students aspiring to careers in the Indian Air Force and commercial aviation.
1,124 NSS volunteers at VGU contribute to society through structured community service making VGU one of Rajasthan's most socially active university campuses.
NSS at VGU organises blood donation camps (in partnership with the Red Cross Society of India every October 1), cleanliness drives under Swachh Bharat, tree plantation initiatives, awareness campaigns on health and hygiene, skill development workshops for nearby communities and the Jaipur Marathon. 1,124 NSS scouts bring structured service to real causes.
VGU is a registered unit of Bharat Scouts and Guides — promoting character development, citizenship training and community service through structured adventure and leadership programs. Scouts & Guides certification at national level qualifies students for co-curricular excellence scholarships (up to 20% on tuition fees) and government-recognised benefits.
