Dr. Nutan Sharma completed Ph.D. degree in January 2017, she is an Associate Professor in Department of Chemistry. She is doing research in the field of green synthesis and material science with a main focus on renewable energy and their applications. synthesis and characterization of carbon nanostructured based composite materials (CNT, Graphen nanosheet and organic polymer nanocomposite, nanoparticles etc.), with some emphasis for biosensing and energy applications. current research interests are to synthesis of new class of 2D carbon-based material like Graphitic nanosheets, MXene, GCN and their hybrid composite for sensing, supercapacitor, and energy applications. As a part of collaborative research work at IUAC, New Delhi, she worked on structure modification and defect creation using swift heavy ion irradiation to tune the properties of hybrid composite material for different application. She has a good hand holding on characterizing the carbon based nanostructures using Raman, FTIR, TGA, SEM and TEM systems.
