Dr. Amit Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vivekananda Global University (VGU) Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India, where his research focused on alternative fuels, waste-to-energy technologies, and sustainable energy systems.
He has previously served as a faculty member at VGU Jaipur (formerly known as VIT Campus), contributing to both academic instruction and departmental development. His teaching and research interests include renewable energy, internal combustion engines, waste plastic and biomass conversion, alternative fuel development, combustion and emissions analysis, and energy sustainability.
Dr. Kumar has published research papers in reputed journals and conferences and is actively involved in guiding students, conducting laboratory-based research, and promoting sustainable engineering practices. He remains committed to bridging academic research with real-world energy and environmental challenges.
