Dr. Nidhi Sharma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Development Studies at Vivekananda Global University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Rajasthan and has qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET). With over 16 years of extensive experience in higher education, she has made noteworthy contributions to teaching, research, and student development. Her academic journey is enriched with numerous publications in Scopus-indexed and UGC-approved peer-reviewed journals, along with contributions to several book chapters and collaborative research projects.
Dr. Sharma has also undertaken significant leadership responsibilities in reputed academic bodies. She serves as a member of the Syllabus Committee (Social Science) at Vardhman Mahaveer Open University and contributes as a content developer for various competitive examinations. In addition, she has actively worked as an examiner, paper setter, and invigilator for multiple universities and competitive platforms. Worked as a paper setter and examiner for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in various universities. As a committed academic mentor, she supervises Ph.D. scholars and guides postgraduate students.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Dr. Sharma is deeply engaged in social work and community service. She collaborates with NGOs to support underprivileged communities, promote awareness, and contribute to meaningful social change. She firmly believes that social service is not merely a duty but a lifelong commitment to humanity, where even small efforts can create a lasting impact. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to education and research, she was honoured with the Swami Vivekanand Women Pride Award on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026 in Jaipur, acknowledging her dedication, academic excellence, and impactful role in shaping both students and the broader academic community.
