Dr. Priya Modi is an accomplished academician serving as Assistant Professor of Economics and Pro-HoD in the Department of Development Studies at Vivekananda Global University. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Manipal University Jaipur with research focused on virtual water footprint, sustainability, and SDGs. Her expertise spans Environmental Economics, Agricultural Economics, Health Economics, Development Economics, Public Policy, and Sustainability Studies. She has published and presented research at reputed national and international forums on water security, climate resilience, urban heat, entrepreneurship, and socio-economic development. She has led and contributed to impactful projects on silicosis, menstrual hygiene management, waste management, women entrepreneurship, and inclusive development. Dr. Modi also holds key academic leadership roles including IIC Coordinator, AIESEC Nodal officer, and Road Safety Club Mentor. A recipient of the REX Global Karamveer Chakra Award, she is recognized for integrating academic excellence, innovation, policy relevance, and community impact.
