Sonia Mukherjee – Professional Bio

Sonia Mukherjee is a disciplinarian, dynamic and accomplished leader with over 28 years of diverse experience spanning the pharmaceutical industry and international exposure across Germany, Poland, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Her expertise lies at the intersection of strategic business development, supply chain management, lean production, lean administrative systems, keen sharpness in the conduct of RCA and marketing leadership.

Sonia began her career in pharmaceutical sales and steadily rose through the ranks to leadership positions such as General Manager – Business and Vice President at Lifecare Innovations Pvt. Ltd., where she served for over 15 years. She led national and international market expansion, managed government procurement tenders, introduced innovative products in India and Nepal, and was instrumental in liaising with health authorities, legal teams, and global stakeholders. Her extensive tenure in pharmaceutical industry also includes key roles at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories as Scientific Business Officer, USV, VHB Gen Biotech, and Infar India Ltd., where she demonstrated strengths in clinical trials, preventive healthcare campaigns, training the Human resource of the marketing team and strategic marketing at various leadership ranks.

In parallel with her industry accomplishments, Sonia enriched her global competencies through an MBA in Berlin, Germany, with a specialization in Supply Chain Management and Digital Business Leadership. Her thesis at Siemens AG on lean procurement for digital products highlighted her ability to bridge academic rigor with real-world solutions. She further enhanced her profile with Lean and Six Sigma certifications from TU Munich and hands-on experience at Amazon and IngramMicro promoted to Lean Associate in an international team of three Lean Team Associates within 3 months of her services for managing automated warehouse logistics and sustaining a continuous improvement culture through Kaizen and DMAIC methodologies.

A passionate educator and mentor, Sonia has received the education in Special Education too with distinction and being the topper in Kolkata University. She has served a special educator in inclusive schools and also practiced through self clinic. She has also been the teacher trainer teaching B.Ed Special Education. Currently serves as Professor of Practice at Vivekananda Global University as well as Advisor Infectious Diseases & Critical Care and has taught at Jaipur National University and Jayshree Periwal Global School, DPS. She brings a rare blend of academic integrity and corporate experience, instilling practical wisdom in the next generation of business leaders. She is also pursuing dual master's degrees in Economics and English, reflecting her lifelong commitment to learning.
