Bio

Dr. Himangini Rathore Hooja is an organizational psychologist and a senior academic with over 20 years of professional experience spanning academia and industry. Her career integrates teaching, research, and institutional leadership with early experience in the corporate sector, providing her with a grounded and applied perspective on behavioural sciences.

She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, with research centred on psychological capital, transformational leadership, and work-life balance in high-stress institutional contexts. Her academic training from Banaras Hindu University and the University of Rajasthan, combined with early professional experience in human resource management, has shaped the integrated approach to teaching, research, and applied psychology.

Dr. Hooja has also been affiliated with the Minnesota Studies in International Development (MSID) Program, University of Minnesota, where she contributed to teaching and research in an international academic setting. This exposure has informed her global outlook and strengthened her engagement with cross-cultural and development-oriented perspectives.

Dr. Hooja has held several key leadership positions throughout her academic career and plays an active role in shaping curriculum frameworks, internationalization strategies, and industry collaborations. She holds a certification in Internationalization of Education from ERASMUS + Programme of the European Union.

Her research portfolio reflects themes of psychological well-being, work-life balance, emotional labour, gender and mental health, and behavioural dimensions of governance. Having academic contributions with over 25 publications spanning peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, and national newspaper editorials, alongside the development of 12 online academic and public knowledge resources. She has research experience with UNODC South Asia Regional Office, Rajasthan Police Academy and City Palace Museum Jaipur.

In addition to her scholarly output, she has been invited as a resource person across national and private universities and professional institutions, contributing to academic training, faculty development, and executive education. Dr. Hooja is also engaged in professional training, having designed and delivered programmes for working professionals. Her work in this domain focuses on leadership development, organizational change, psychological resilience, team building and well-being in institutional settings.

Dr. Hooja has a strong record of doctoral supervision and research mentorship, guiding scholars across diverse areas within behavioural sciences. Her work is oriented towards aligning behavioural sciences with evolving societal and organizational demands, particularly within complex institutional environments.

She has been associated with leading academic bodies, including the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, INDIA (Lifetime Member), American Psychological Association and the International Positive Psychology Association, and serves as a reviewer for international journals published by Springer Nature and Emerald.
